Setting Your Focus for YouTube Marketing Success

If you are wanting to grow your business, then you should be using videos on Youtube. However, you shouldn’t just “wing it.” You need to lay the proper foundation, by setting your focus correctly from the very beginning.

This post is about Setting Your Focus for YouTube Marketing Success. It’s all about setting the proper mindset from the start.

I don’t mean the mindset of “I am great,” or,  “I can do it,” or… “I have what it takes.” But rather I mean the mindset that goes like this… “This is about others”, “this is for them” and “I am creating this content for others”.

It reminds me of an old song written by Charles D. Meigs with the chorus that goes like this,

”Others, Lord, Yes others,

Let this my motto be,

Help me to live for others,

That I may live like Thee”

To me that’s the perfect foundation for a good YouTube marketing channel. Something like this… “Hey guys! This is my YouTube channel. These are all my videos, and every single thing I do here is for you.”

Establishing that focus from the very beginning before you get started is going to be the key to your success.

3 Focus Points For Your YouTube Marketing Videos:

# 1. Be Unique and Valuable.

Nobody likes a copy cat, whether it’s copying somebody else’s personality, style or content.

Be yourself.

Be who you are. Be the person that you were created to be, and do it on purpose. Create your own content and make sure that it is valuable. Don’t steal other people’s YouTube marketing content and call it yours, hoping that it will turn out alright—because it won’t.

#2. Have a Compelling Message.

Your videos need to be compelling. Your message needs to be so compelling that when you finish each video you can expect people to be excited to look for their mouse— ready to click, follow up, subscribe, comment, or do whatever you call them to. Why? Because your message is so compelling.

Compelling comes with confidence, and confidence comes by experience.

So gain experience in your industry, get some knowledge that other people don’t have. Then present that knowledge with confidence.

#3. Make Sure It’s Informative.

Your YouTube marketing videos need to be informative and must truly answer the questions that your users are coming to have resolved.

You need to establish yourself as an expert in your industry. People will treat you as the expert on that subject. Then when they need help in that area, they will come to you. Simply because you have given away informative information as the expert in the past. Does that makes sense?

Your videos and all information that you provide should be valuable and informative.
